The short version
- Connecting means giving AI a safe key to read an app for you.
- Usually that’s plugins, keys and settings for each one.
- And it often only handles one account per app.
What “connecting” means
When you connect an app to AI, that app gives the AI a limited key so it can read (and sometimes act) on your behalf. You never hand over your password, and you can take the key back any time.
Why it’s usually painful
Each tool has its own setup: a plugin here, an API key there, a permissions screen somewhere else. Many tools only allow one account per app, which doesn’t work if you have a personal and a business Google account.
What to check before you connect
Can you see exactly what it can read and do? Does it ask before sending anything? Can you disconnect easily? Does it handle more than one account and always say which one it’s using?
Where NOVA fits
In NOVA you sign in to each service, and it’s connected. You can connect several Google accounts and more, each labeled, and every action names the exact account it will use. You can see and remove connections any time.
